Dear Barbara, - a helpless aunt, Sheau Wen (April 2010) I have been coming to Singapore over the years for business from the US. Several years ago I stayed at a hotel right across the street from Livingreens. I have been a vegetarian for 25 years and this is the best of the best. All the food, I've tried almost every dish tastes like it is especially made for me. You can feel the energy and love that goes into every meal served. Barbara and the staff make you feel like part of the family. I only stay at a hotel that is near Livingreens when I come to Singapore. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience. I have worked for many years in healthcare and it is true 'you are what you eat'. - Noel Paraninfo (13 March 2010) Thank you for opening your restaurant here in Singapore. As a raw vegan I find it difficult to find places to eat while traveling. This was a pleasure…..your food was very good and I highly recommend to any vegan or vegetarian. I will definitely come back again. Sifu IDr. Reginald Cann
LivinGreens knows raw food, vegan cuisine and juicing as well as the best of them. It’s eating not just to sate the hunger of the body, but also for the soul. Organic Bliss! - Pi Villaraza, Healer from the Philippines
The food is just superb – selection very diverse and the presentation is most impressive, we will be back for more when in Singapore. Barbara +Volker R. From Sydney ( 23th May 2009) P.S. Considering the expensive sourcing o= organic ingredients we thought the prices are more than reasonable .
Halow Barbara, - Stacy
Many thanks for looking after so well today - we had a wonderful vegetarian meetup at LivinGreens! I particularly like the Lasagna - so light and tasty! Great to know that it is healthy too. - Neil I love the food here because it is extremely tasty. It uses as much organic ingredient without any artificial flavorings. Yet the dishes are so tasty. -Michael Wong
![]() Well-know Yoga Teacher from USA I love to eat at LivinGreens because Chef Barbara’s delicious creations help to keep me healthy. Barbara has become a great friend over the years. She cooks with great love and cares for her patron and is always eager to use the best and freshest organic ingredients. She serves her patron what she would feed her own family. She pains taxingly creates her own sauces, dressings and marinades, so that they contain no chemicals, additives, preservatives or artificial colouring. I’m investing in my health by eating at LivinGreens. -Ms Yeo I love Barbara’s special dairy free, wheat free and egg free cake as I have to avoid wheat and dairy products. Barbara’s cakes help me to satisfy my occasional cravings for a sweet dessert, yet I can rest assured that I can steer clear of the types of food that I should avoid. I’m enjoying the best of both worlds by eating at LivinGreens. -Ms Chan “For me it’s not just about taking my lunch. It’s an experience. Barbara really loves her work and it shows. I think it’s the first restaurant I've been to where they clean the salads with filtered water. Tap water simply won’t do. Personally, I always start off with a fresh ABC (apple, beetroot, carrot) juice. Packed with living enzymes. For the main course, there's always something interesting but the best dish I've tried recently is the lasagna. It’s totally wheat-, gluten- and dairy-free but you'd never know. Another favourite is the pumpkin pie. For dessert, I would recommend the deceptive-looking but mouth-watering black sesame pudding. Definitely one of the best organic food experiences around." - Mark Bamfield, art director at an advertising agency who has his lunch regularly at LivinGreens “The first time, I came with my Chinese teacher who’s vegetarian. I like the food here very much. The atmosphere is very good, and the boss, Barbara, is very kind. I’m not a vegetarian, but I like vegetables. About 90 per cent of the time, I’m vegetarian. I feel that the ingredients used here have natural flavours. The presentation is colourful and perks up my appetite. Yes, I’d definitely come back again. My favourite dishes include the tomato mushroom spaghetti and the avocado salad.” - Ms Akiko, housewife who’s studying Chinese, interviewed during her third visit to LivinGreens “This is the only restaurant in Singapore where you can get organic food, and it’s holistic organic (food). You get healthy food, and Barbara gives me special tips on what I should take, for example, walnut millet soup.” - Franziska Redomske, from Germany “The food tastes fantastic. Barbara is passionate about what she’s doing.” - Joanne Johnson, from UK “The atmosphere here is perfect.” - Nassera Guerroumi, from France Franziska, Joanne and Nassera are three friends who live in Singapore. The ladies were interviewed during a lunch get-together. All three said they like the family atmosphere and the warm and cozy ambience at LivinGreens. “I come here two or three times a week. I need to have healthy food because of blockage in my arteries. It’s a safe place to eat. The food is tasty (and) it’s pleasant here. I would recommend LivinGreens to others. My favourite dishes are the salads and the baked tafu goreng.” - James Koh “It’s great. That’s why we purposely come back to eat. I had the avocado salad. It’s beautifully presented. I ate most of it and remembered to leave some for my husband to try. They’re very friendly here. I’m planning to bring my friends here tonight.” - Mrs Chong Heng Kiong, from Ipoh, on her third visit to LivinGreens. She had come across LivinGreens by chance. “It’s very good. It’s beyond my expectation. The food is very tasty. I tried the tomato mushroom spaghetti. I’d definitely come back.” - Ms Chitra, on her first visit to LivinGreens “I visited LivinGreens for the first time recently for dinner. I really enjoyed the food very much! It is almost like a “heaven makan place” for a vegan like me. Unfortunately, I can't eat at your place often as I work in Tuas. My mum highly recommended LivinGreens to me. I also read lots of good reviews about LivinGreens on Internet forums. My orders for that night were gado gado and carob cake (with mint and banana filling). I loved the food.” - Elaine “LivinGreens is an unassuming place with a bit of rustic charm. What is more important is that the food is full of wholesome goodness and positive energy as one can feel that it has been cooked with loving care: all heart and soul. My personal favourites (for it is impossible to have only one) are: green curry spaghetti, almond gado gado and mushroom dumplings. OH YES! The Penang Laksa is like the real thing, except that it tastes much better! It is SUPERB and divine. The desserts never fail to put a nice end to an already satisfying meal. Besides, the cakes are egg-free and wheat-free. It makes me feel less guilty when I am eating it :) I will definitely bring friends here!” - Olivia Ho
